Have you ever seen that custom painted car or bike go by that you just couldn't take your eyes off from? Well if you share the same passion that I do for something unique, you know that feeling when you see a great work of automobile art. I have a custom mustang that I enjoy driving and just looking at it while its parked gets me going. The fact that there are so many different ways to make something unique and your own gets my blood pumping. Every time I see a custom vehicle, helmet, golf cart, or any other toy you may have I feel like a kid in a candy store.
I do believe with today's economy many people are keeping what they have and not purchasing new toys.
The best way to feel like you have something new for a fraction of the price is to customize something you already own. I love the feeling of something new like many people out there. I also feel the pinch of making your money stretch just a little bit farther than before. I lost my last job due to the economy forcing the company I worked for to close its doors. It gets you down, but I was able to feel great when I had custom paint work done on my old motorcycle to make it look new and exciting. I rode the new painted bike to an interview and landed a great job with a very large company.
It may be totally crazy to think that my newly improved bike made me get my new job, but I believe it. I felt so much better riding that custom bike down the road that my confidence was boosted to the level of perfection. When I walked into the interview I had a glow that made me stand out. I was told by the Human resource department that I was chosen over a big group of people interviewed because I was a very positive person. I could be wrong but having that rad bike to ride sure makes me feel like I'm in a good positive mood.
You may ask, how does an airbrush work? Like anything that delivers a fine spray of paint or solvent, it uses Bernoulli's principle. Air moving at higher velocity has lower pressure. If this air stream happens to be near but above a solvent (e.g. paint), the solvent will be drawn upwards, towards the fast moving air.
When it gets to that stream of air, the solvent gets broken up into fine particles, and is blown in the direction of the airstream. The basic principle is very simple, and spraying itself is not hard. It does take some practice and good technique to turn out finely painted art.
